Coating Profile

AlCrTiN - Excellent Abrasion and Oxidation Resistance

TIG-Coat is a nanostructure layer coating based on AlCrTiN. The distinctive chemistry of Indocoat's TIG-Coat provides protection against materials that aggressively corrode tool steel. This minimizes adhesive wear and prevents alloying between the work material and tool steel, leading to improved part release and increased productivity.

The nanostructure architecture of TIG-Coat is able to minimize crack propagation within the layer when subjected to shear load.

Applications

Where TIG-Coat is designed to work.

Cutting

Dry machining with high feed rates, interrupted cuts and reaming of medium and highly alloyed steels.

Hot and Cold Forming

Warm and cold forming and hot stamping processes with high ductility and low tendency to cold weld to the steel.

Aluminium Die Casting

TIG-Coat is a highly ductile coating, perfect for abrasive environments like die casting and hot forging. Its elevated oxidation temperature ensures stability and an extended lifespan in high-temperature applications.
